Short post

Had registration stuff in school. I am hoping for the animation classes. I want to animate my comics. My friends think it's funny.
Of course, I need an animating program. And I need my own computer because my parents will not let me download anything.
Sigh.
Almost done with my short story. Almost.
Almost.
I can taste the ending. It's strawberry flavored. Yet it has nothing to do with strawberries...
I still haven't started #9. I will do that at some point in my life.
Not much today. Picture.

  1. That's funny, I've also been looking making "animated comics". You've got a few choices on software.

Obviously, there's Adobe Flash, which you can get a monthly subscription to for as cheap as $20/month. Easy to use, but not built for animation, and I don't like that "Flash look" that all Flash animations have.

If you've got the cash, Toon Boom is the best. There's a long list of professional studios using it.

On the free/open-source side, you've got a few choices - Scratch, Pencil, Inkscape, and Synfig. I tried all of these, and didn't like them, but the price can't be beat.

Finally, some people "animate" by having a video of sequential drawings, and voice-overs for the dialogue. Flexible and cheap.

    Good luck.

  2. Thanks for the suggestions. I was actually thinking about anime studios. It looked fun and easy, but, as I said, I'm not going to be able to do it at the moment, because of the computer issues.

  3. Sometimes, when I'm extremely bored, I make crappy little flash animations in this stick-figure animator called Pivot. But since they're just stick figures, and not cartoon animation, I don't really think I can really help you in that department..

Well. You're almost done with Holiday Man #7? I was honestly expecting at least a month for that thing to show up, but that was quick. Anyway I have nothing else to say, so, good life and good luck with the whole animation thing.

    1. well, my cartoons are stick figures, so it might work. And I'm done with #7, but I like to have a two story space between my posts, so I have to finish #9 to post #7. thank you for the well wishes!

  4. I'd never seen Anime Studio, it looks very good. That's definitely going on my short list of possible programs.

  5. nice. It's forty dollars though, so I'm going to have to get (shudders) a job.

  6. Wow, I have never been this low on the list of comments before. I really need to get my act together, am I right?

I like how you think, "I have to finish #9 to post #7. I need to do this, be ahead of my game and all. Good idea! I'm gonna steal it dun, dun, dun. ;P
